Cars and Films

Long time, no…. blog post?!?!

My friends and regular blog followers may have noticed that my last blog post was many moons ago – so I would like to apologise.

The reality is that I have been overwhelmingly busy over the past few months and my dear blog was the first to notice the changes. As some of you might know I am planning my wedding (which is now less than 3 months away.. ahhhhhhh exciting, I know), working hard designing interiors at my day job and my business Penny Street Interiors. I have also been working with my mum who has a catering business here in Adelaide South, South Australia – Carla’s Kitchen Catering (we have a Facebook page that you can view here).

So for my first blog post back I wanted to show you a few cool posters that my wonderful fiance had pointed out to me. Actually it was more like “you haven’t posted in AGES – you should blog on this…”

Jesús Prudencio from Seville, Spain sells these awesome posters from his Etsy store Cars And Films. He creates and sells a series of movie posters that include iconic cars. Have a look below at some of my fav’s below:

Kip & Co. have some playful bedding collections to suit both the young and young at heart. Be sure to head over to the website to view the collections, but in the mean time I have included a few of the pieces I’m eye-baling below:

Shop to Watch – The Print Society

If there is one thing I love more than skulls (view previous posts here, here and here) it would have to be neon printed cushions and The Print Society just happen to hit the nail on the head.

Their cushions, purses and bags are made from natural fabrics such as hemp/linen and are hand printed in Sydney Australia. They also use non-toxic water based inks and dyes, and are produced using sustainable practices.

You will find below some of my picks from their online store:

Something Blue

My latest inspiration has come from the blue living space in the home of interior designer Faye Toogood in London.

Here is proof that using one colour (in different hues) throughout an interior works very well. View the article from Vogue Living here.

Iconic Chair – Peacock Chair

After the Peacock Chair was featured in the latest Adore Magazine I felt the need to want more. So I visited The Family Love Tree to see the different colours and styles they had available… and boy what a range they have.

Go have a look over on the online store to see their whole range, but for your viewing pleasure I have included some of my picks from the ‘Classic Peacock’ & ‘Lady Peacock’ range below (oh and they also have kids versions too)
